What do they all have in common? Most likely, none of them is getting invited to the White House Christmas party.

All three media personalities have been singled out by President Obama’s press shop in the course of less than two weeks. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, in doing so, has shown an unusual willingness to spar with cable and radio hosts who take shots at his boss.

Gibbs thinks this is funny, but I think it’s sick. It’s one thing when campaigns target each other, but now you have a sitting presidency singling out media personalities who have questioned their policies and focusing the brunt of the attack on them.

The government. Which is sworn to uphold the First Amendment, is attacking media personalities who are EXERCISING THE RIGHTS AFFORDED TO THEM. This is sounding more and more like totalitarian communism. ‘Do not question Dear Leader. He has your best interests at heart. Don’t listen to those who oppose us. Trust us. Everything we do is for the working man. Dear Leader has a vision for America and it will be made reality.’

It makes me ill.
